Stephanie is the Sophia Jex-Blake Professor of Neuroscience at UCL and the Head of the Research Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology (NPP). Prof. Schorge has a long-standing interest in how mutations in ion channels cause neurological diseases, and conversely how manipulating ion channels can be used to treat disease. Recently her work has focused on developing a portfolio of gene therapy approaches to treat severe drug-refractory epilepsy.
